10 Years!

I have been a Certified Fitness Trainer for 10 years.  In this time, I have seen many people succeed in achieving their goals and fitness journey.  Unfortunately, I have seen those who have walked away from their fitness goals as well.

As bariatric (weight loss) surgery has become popular and more affordable, there are those who have chosen to go this route as part of their journey.  The number one reason people choose surgery is because they don't believe they have the willpower and dedication to do it on their own; when in reality, it requires a greater amount of willpower and dedication.  It is a complete lifestyle change.  Not only does it affect daily diet, it causes the body to make drastic changes.  Hair loss, malabsorption, loose and saggy skin, loss of proteins, reduced portions, dry skin, protruding teeth and many other side effects occur with weight loss surgery.

When I began training, I would take it very personal if a client didn't achieve their goals.  It took me some time to realize that I can't do the work for you.  I provide the knowledge and the tools, but the individual must put in the work.

As in everything we do, we must do it for ourselves!  Life expectancy is greatly increased with a healthy lifestyle.

It is my pleasure to help those in need.  It is even more pleasurable when I watch my clients succeed.

Everyone has the opportunity to feel better and look better.  But, it is up to the individual to make it happen.

To all of those who have trusted me in helping with their fitness goals, I thank you all!

It has been an amazing journey, and I don't plan on quitting anytime soon!

Be safe, be healthy, be fit, and have FUN!

Summer's in full swing!

Posted on July 25, 2014 at 8:53 PM
Summer is in full swing and it is great to see so many out and moving!

There are many times when I am out with friends having dinner, or just out shopping and running errands that I notice the lack of human interaction.

For instance, I was recently at a restaurant having lunch alone when I noticed a group of  9 (obviously from the same company) come in to have lunch as well.  The entire time they were eating, there was no personal interaction.  The entire table were on their mobile phones.  They did not engage in any type of discussion until they were ready to leave.

My question is, what has happened to the days of enjoying the company of the people you are with?

I am a "people watcher" by nature.  I enjoy watching how people interact with each other.  The problem is; there is little interaction anymore.

I go to the gym and most of the people exercising using cardio equipment are on their phones, talking, texting or even playing games.

I challenge everyone to put down your phone.  Walk away from it.  Enjoy a nice dinner and conversation with your family.  Watch, actually watch and enjoy your children's sporting events.  Get up, get out and move!

There was a time when as a society we actively participated in each others life.  We didn't miss life events.  We didn't expect anyone to take photos and send them to us, because it is just like being there.  It is not the same.

Instead of watching life, become an active part of it.  Stay fit and stay active!

Walgreens like many other companies conducts a customer feedback survey to analyze the needs and requirements of their customers and work efficiently to provide them the best quality products

I love summer it is the time that I am stocked in our house. Watching movies on Netflix is my favorite thing when summer, where I can rest my brain from all the stress of homework, projects, quizzes, research, midterms, and final exams. Students want to relax and enjoy things during summer vacation. Summer is the hottest of the four temperate seasons. My family also hangout or simply went to beach resort because it is only the time we have our bonding. Thumbs up for your blog.
